With nearly two decades of experience as a plant geneticist, Kate Creasey Krainer founded Grow More Foundation in 2016. She seeks to enable the accessible and practical application of plant science to solve agricultural challenges in developing countries. She obtained her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Edinburgh and pursued Postdoctoral research in molecular plant genetics at Cold Spring Harbor.
