Jonathan D.G. Jones is a leading researcher in the field of developmental genetics and plant biology and has made seminal contributions to understanding mechanisms underlying resistance to plant disease. He was elected a member of EMBO in 1998, made Fellow of the Royal Society in 2003, and Foreign Associate of the US National Academy of Sciences in 2015.
